Day 21
Crazy early start to get some miles in, we watched the sun come up as we climbed through the mountains…. then due to roadworks had to change our route and ended up bombing down the freeway. We were pulled over by the police (and luckilly, cycling enthusiasts) who showed us a new route and even knew of Stephen Murray! We headed on to the Costa del Sol and enjoyed the most amazing 10km descent towards the ocean before hitting gale force winds as we rode across a massive canyon bridge. 92 miles in all1 now having set up camp in Montril, we’re enjoying the last of the evening sun on the beach before bed… Amazing.

You seem to be so lucky - finding the only policemen in the area who are cyclists!! Have a great pedalling day today. You are doing so incredibly well. Love you xx
Morocco must soon be in site, not far to Gibraltar now, shame to leave all those free olives behind tho! Whatching your blogs every day, Love you loads.

Lucky you, finding sporty and friendly Spanish police. Must have been great views today. Good Luck for he rest of your journey! Keep going!
Well done I cant believe how far you have gone, keep going you are nearly there, love Jo
According to google maps it’s only another 190 miles! Phew! Tired yet? You 2 must have incredible leg muscles by now — impressive! So R and I are reckoning only another 2 - 2 1/2 days and you’ll be boarding a ferry. Wow! Pat yourselves on the back big time. By the way, it’ll probably be L waiting for you at the airport, so don’t be surprised. We’ll make sure both have us have all the right mobile numbers to hand. For now, safe remainder of the journey, enjoy, and we love you both very very much. xxxx L&R
